SECHSECK
German for a hexagon ‘Sechseck’ is inspired by the beehive structure. A continuation of the fashion collection developed in the final year of my design school, the pieces use sustainable techniques of zero-waste using patchwork, the raw material (fabric) for the same comes from leftovers from previous projects, end of roll fabrics, etc. Some pieces, like the rectangular wrap skirt in the first ensemble, demonstrates the use of hand skill of crocheting in textured yarn to finish the edges of the wrap. Techniques like space tucks have also been used in a few of the hexagons.
