TEACHING PRACTICE

From 2017 to 2022, Pragya engaged as an Assistant Professor in the Fashion Design department at the Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD) in New Delhi. The job role was such that she was involved in various capacities – as a design mentor in planning and delivering design projects and as a co-teacher facilitating sessions with other faculty members. She tried to bridge the divide between my research and classroom practice by embedding the former into studio projects as short assignments or workshops. The project-based learning model at IIAD further motivated her to incorporate innovative design pedagogies in the classroom especially as demanded by a virtual learning environment in early 2020.

She completed a Post Graduate in Teaching in Learning in Higher Education (PGCLTHE) from Kingston University, UK in 2019.
